The rear parallax/focus ring is calibrated in ”’METERS”” instead of ‘yards’! So you may need to convert meters to yards, if your range card is calibrated in'”YARDS'”, so you also may want to use a laser rangfinder.
The mil-dot reticle does not have 1/2mil hash marks! No IR.
I don’t know about the Side Focus/parallax model, need to call SWFA first, if you need to know?
SWFA says Spring Gun Rated.
For 300 $ niche, this is a good scope, seems Millet is heating up the Competition!

That’s reason I posted, found out when I got mine!
RoachCreek : I am happy with my SWFA SS10x42mm rear parallax scope. It’s took some minor abuse, banged and dropped. Did need to move a couple clicks to re zero after being dropped. My opinion glass is very good for the price. Eye placement is not picky and never had a problem with graying/shadows in the eyebox like the my Centerpoint had.
I also like the rear parallax over side parallax, much easier to use hunting or standing. I shoot right handed and reaching over the scope for side parallax is awkward. It will focus down to 10 meters, but not to 10 yards.
The one thing had I to do over is buy the .1mil turrets instead of the 1/4moa turrets.
Was bought for my remington 700 and used on .22 Condor until sold and now has it’s home on the remington. This scope holds zero and seems to track well and returns faithfully to zero. Good utility scope for Air or powder.

I didn’t know the parallax was in meters. Thanks for posting. This is an important point – surprisingly not mentioned on the SWFA website. 😕

COndor, the eye piece paralax focus seems to be a great feature, like you I do not like the side all that well, but still prefer it to a front focus.
I just wish that reticle had the half mildots like the Millet.
I am waiting for Hoot to really give his a workout, then will probably decide.
Mine as you know had trouble keeping up with the windage adjustments, as does my Baraska.
BTW, that Shoebox is fantastic.
