Need some power adjusting help.

I finally got to shoot my new (to me) Talon .20 tonight. My quick fill attachment came in the mail, so I topped off, mounted the glass and had at it.
I read the manual but I think somethings out of kilter. I filled to 3K psi. It too me 10 shots or so to get centered up ready to break out the chrony. The linear power adjustment is set at 2 and the wheel was around 13 or so. Took a couple shot that were in the 880 range (pellet is JSB Exact 13 grain). So I crank down the wheel and eventually bottom it out. I’m still in the 850 range, which is 22 fpe. I know it’ll shoot slower than this.
My guess is that since the power adjustment is bottomed out at 2, then the wheel has little or no effect on the velocity but that’s just a guess.
Or, the previous owner could have made some modifications, tinkering, etc.
Anyway, does it sound like I’ve got an adjustment issue or a mechanical issue? I need to get down to around 810 fps or so.

But I don’t want to be a Talon mechanic Mr. Wizard………………….but if I must, where should I go for instruction.
You could try setting the tophat down 3 thousanths and give her another go. I set my top hat at .068 and had full operation of powerwheel.

You might wanna check for a condor spacer infront of the hammer…the extra preload and weight night explain what you’re seeing…Greg

You might have a hammer weight in there. Look in the slot and check.
It is the piece between the spring and hammer in this pict
If you are shooting a talon valve you can take that part out, if you have a Condor Valve leave it in.
