Q:

Gonna remove my silencer -For-e-ver

I know you guys missed me! Say it.

I was bogged down in work, but I can always make time for this group of misfits!

Anyways, I think my frame extender is causing inconsistencies in my shot group -DON’T YOU DARE BLAME IT ON MY SKILLS!

It’s going back to its original configuration of plain vanilla 18″ barrel.

Has anyone experienced this before?

if it ain’t ‘clipping’ as suggested, then maybe it is, indeed, pellet selection.

it’s odd, but one of the best flying /accurate pellets from my 18″, shrouded Talon is the Crosman Premier Hunting Pointed pellets and the best from my .25 Marauder is without doubt, the JSB exact match king

they’re not really “pointed” (the Crosmans) in the classic sense as are beeman silver stings…more like a rounded peak.

the JSB’s are unbelievably consistant at ALL ranges…

Well, in my mind the easiest way to tell is……is it still doing it WITHOUT the shroud?

I always visually inspect my hunting pellets (crow mags or kodiak hunter) because I cannot have a stray shot. I reject about 1/3 to 1/2 based on bad castings (loose lead, dented skirt, non uniform HP).

The Kodiak Match and R10s seem perfect and no need to sort.

don’t know what you would call inconsistency, but the cp hollow points need sorting badly for peak accuracy.

for me they will group 1/4” at 50 yards but with fliers . like 3 pellets touching then one will go out of the group 3/8” to 1/2” ,

but with sorting it cuts down on the shots out of the group, its worth it for me to sort the pellets to get some pretty nice shooting out of them for the price.

i think that straight out of the can i can get say 1/2” groups at 50 yards with them.

YUP you are right its not you at all!
Now that we have that cleard up you should send that peace of crap
shroud my way for some independent testing….. hahaha just kidding.
No but really….

.22 CP Hollow point (14.3 grain)

What pellets , i think that the wad cutter does not like a real tight exit hole out of the shroud.

I don’t think it was clipping -maybe turbulance from my baffles. It could be a case of the keyboard.

Being “bogged down in work” means NOT shooting guns and keeping skills sharp..let’s just suppose this could be the case..Get OFF YOUR KEYBOARD and go shoot at something…anything!!! Just go shoot 😀 😀 😀

was it cliping?

Your ALIVE! 😀
