Q:

which CO2 tank for crosman 2250xt

I’m trying to find a paintball tank for my 2250xt that can be fitted and still keep the stock i have. the stocks the nice camo one so i dont want to start chopping that up. i’ve seen a few on the net but its if they work or not. I have the adapter so thats covered.

Main things are regulated so i can judge shots left and slim so it will fit well. so far the 9oz and 3.5oz have been suggested but which one?

I dont have a paintball shop around or a gunshop close by as the dam thing closed last week so no chance of trying them out 😕

Thanks in advance

Ian

what you all getting with out the power spring and valve mod? with the 18″ barrel only mines at around 10.4 foot pounds. as i understand it the stronger spring will give and extra foot pound.

looking at the stealth/talon design, bottle, breach and hammer config. is the rattly much the same with air flow? if so then i suppose the same principles can be applied to the 2250X

Makes sense to me!

Very interested. I’m looking forward to your post.

Nice.

So do you need a different spring and valve for more power? if I left the gun stock what sort of ft/lbs energy does it develop, approximately.

The unit comes with two power springs. It is recommended that you get a modified valve, pretty inexpensive, a BOSS 12gr modified valve for instance will do nicely, in the $30-40 range. Bulk valves won’t work because the pcp tube supplied is designed to fit a C02 valve end.

I haven’t started to convert mine yet, but I’m taking pictures in preparation for my valve pinning (at 3K psi, you need a stronger screw to hold the valve in place) and I’ll post my efforts at conversion after the holidays, with some early results. Right now, with 12gr carts, I get about 495 to 525 fps for the first fifteen shoots, then I drop down to the 300 to 400 fps pretty quick.

If I’m not mistaken, the 9 oz.PB tank is the same size as a 13 cu.in. HPA bottle…2inch diameter, and 10 inches total length+from top of regulator to bottom of the bottle.Perfect size for using with the AS2250 stock, very popular in US.

Thanks Hoot,

the 2250xt takes the air source bottle (88g) and with the conversion kit i can still use the little 12g bulbs but temperature and air regulation (or lack of) makes is pushing me to the regulated paintball tank.

i’ve spotted this 5oz one http://www.rap4uk.com/9oz-CO2-Tank-Cylinder-Empty-p/898.htm so just need to get the dimentions to see if it will fit. bit pricey but it seems the smaller you go the more you pay

A screw-in tube that can be used for HPA without any stock changes.

Hoot 😯
