My first EDgun. And now with new SWFA SS 10×42.
I was fortunate to buy a very lightly used in GREAT condition without any problems… EDgun Matador in .22.
It came in so fast that now Scope, Rings and other misc things are behind it by 4 days still in the mail on route to me =)
Here is some pictures of it as it sits and waits for its best bud Nikko Sterling Platinum Nighteater 8-32 x 60 that should be here on Monday i hope =) and Ted’s Leupold rings should follow shortly after.
Made in Russia….. makes me very very proud since I am 100% Russian =) as well.
It came in fully charged so I will be able to sight it in before I get my qd hose from Pyramyd air on Wed so I will be able to then fill it up =)
and here is first mod that I have just done =) … much comfy and warm

Did you get the HD version? I have had an eye on one for a while now. I am bouncing between the 10-42 HD and the 3×9-42 FFP. How is the glass on it?

What do you like better about the SWFA? I’m guessing size, but any other things you like better compared to the Nikko?
You’ll find the SS to be light, bright, and extremely tough scope. I’ve had one for a while, and used it on several guns, air and powder, with no problems.
I also use the same Leupold QRW Scope rings on two scopes so to move them around to different guns.

Might be a little too big. Not sure yet. As soon as rings will get here and I will mount it, sight it and use it bunch. =)

LOL, time for a pellet trap. 😉
I have built a full blown trap for the back yard, but i have a couple more that i threw together with a card board box and the rubber mulch from lowe’s that works great. just put a piece of ply wood or mild steel in the back of the box to stop the occasional pellet that makes it thou the mulch and fill it with the rubber mulch and tape it up, and your finished. I put a piece of wood along the top of the box for a backing to screw a handle on the top to carry it.
Tell you what, Peter. If, for whatever reason, they don’t get there by Christmas, I’ll refund your money and you can keep them when they finally DO arrive. I know this is killing you – I know because I’ve been there.

I made a huge mess in my office yesterday using chrony and trying to improvise back stop with 4 layers of fence wood!
OMG it keeps shooting through it in couple of shots and I have wood, dust, splinters and lead all over my office!

How loud/quiet is the Ed Gun compared to a 22 Talon SS?
First off – those are the best forum pictures I’ve seen – not counting the naked female pictures or the “happy birthday, nearly naked, pictures”.
Great use of light and depth of field. What camera?
Also – 10/10 for staging the shot – especially the jack, folding knife, wallet, and workshop in the background.

Everything is here. Matador, nice huge scope (not sure … but i think its too big) and all fill adaptors came in today from Pyramyd….
No if the scope rings would show up tomorrow I would be one happy man. lol
Got some crony work today while waiting for rings. got my rifle shooting 905-910 with JSB 18.1…

Glass is pretty nice and bright. I didnt get HD. Scope are made in Japan.
I am currently shopping for another SS. Want to get 16×42 for R3 that I am on the list for =)
