My condor seems to have a high fill rate of 3000 – 2500 psi
Hi all,
I am still into discovering my .177 condor. Been playing with power levels, tank pressures. What seems strange to me is that my gun wouldnt shoot worth a shit below 2500 psi (measured from the Gehmann hand pump pressure gauge) The optimum operating pressure seems to be 3000-2500 psi, giving 25-30 good shots. Is this normal , or is my gun one of the exceptions. Would like to know if anyone has similar experiences shooting a .177 condor with 10.5 grain pellets.I have heard of unregulated condors shooting well , down to 2000 psi. That is unthinkable with my gun, it gives up the ghost at 2500 psi and after that even if you crank up the power wheel it makes no difference.Any help would be much appreciated.
P.S. Is there any shoot in period with a brand new gun , when it settles down.

Sid, that’s about right. You need to test different fill pressures and find the “sweet spot”. Usually the fill pressure is about 2800 psi. You will need a shooting chrony to fine tune it by a combination of moving your thumb wheel and top hat.
On my out of the box Talon SS I get 30 good shots at the highest fps setting, witch is 9 something on the power scale.
Don’t forget that which pellets you shoot makes a difference too.
