shot to shot variation.
Guys, is it better to have a light or heavy hammer for the most consistent performance? At the present I have a
70 gramme hammer, with this I find my shot velocity decreases with every shot. In the past I have found there is usually a sweet spot were the velocity stays fairly constant for a number of shots.
At a starting pressure of 190 bar the velocity is 975 fps with a 21 grain pellet. This then decreases to 908 fps at 160 bar. When the pressure reduces to 140 bar the velocity is 879 fps.
Is it possible to set up the gun to produce a number of shots that are fairly constant to one another, like a regulated gun but without the reg?
Many thanks.
Phil.
