Which Bipod works best on a Talon SS?
I heard someone say that the AF Bipods are crap. I see a lot of you guys have Harris bipods, do they fit on the lower AF rail or do they need a modification or adapter?

I mounted my AF bipod to the front top rail and added a couple felt pads to protect the shroud. I prefer the pivot action to the bottom but added a fiber washer to tighten it up so it doesn’t pivot easily.
I have an AF bipod on my Talon SS. It’s ok, as far as I’m concerned, but I wish it were shorter.
Good point someone made about making the lower rail on the shroud the same size as the Weaver. I hate this 3/8″ or 11mm crap.
+1 for the Harris, I haven’t tried any others but you buy it once, you won’t regret it, it will last you a lifetime. Mine is awesome 😎
if they used say the weaver mount standard, think how the gun would change in dimentions and weight but in theory the frame would be a tad stronger. i know what you mean though as both bipod and laser are on a dovetail to weaver adapter on mine but in a way the bottom rails protected when taking the bipod on and off.
have you found any you like yet?
Haven’t bought a Bipod yet, gonna take a look for one… what is the actual name of the Rail I need to buy to adapt a Harris or Knock-off Bipod to a AF rifle ?

interesting point harry,

I wish AF would have designed their guns with the standard size rail so you could just buy a bipod and install it without a special adapter.
Buy what you can afford mate,so many options for this gun you wont be stuck but the af/gunpower one is imo over priced.60 quid over here so i got a utg and adapter for 30 all in,not the best by any means but it does the job.
Pabs you and me both he he
You could buy a UTG airgun to picatinny adapter for 9 or 10 bucks…drill it out and put a swivel stud in it, then get a wally world Bipod for half the price of a Harris. Or you can just buy the UTG adapter and get a UTG bipod (I don’t believe the UTG picatinny mount adapters have the length that the harris and harris clones have).

I used a Caldwell from bass pro. Make sure you get a bi pod that pivots.
