Q:

would it be possible??

to cut down the factory scope rail of a condor, and have the remaining parts of the factory scope rail on the body machined to match the 3/8″ dovetail of the rest of the frame? that sounds confusing…but i dont know how else to word it…

yeah!!! YELLOW NINJA!!! i was hoping you’d chime in!!! it was your mod that inspired this! but instead of a tri-rail, im gonna have a weaver rail made to fit, and screwed into place…or would a clamp be better? and i didnt know that the dovetail is already there…nice! AWESOME!! thanks YN!!!

You only need to cut the top rail off level with the rest of the frame and it will have a dovetail (as its an extrusion) where there is material. You will however need something to fill the gap – I used a trirail and it worked fine with no loss in strength noted by me or its current owner.
