Are all Air Force Accessories of poor quality?
Finally got the Condor out despite the cold weather.
Bipod – will not lock down on the rail….quite spindly
Open Siights – the glow on the rear sights make it impossible to get a clear sight picture. Shooting off hand is a nightmare.
I haven’t tried their scope that comes with the gun….hope to have better luck with that ?

-crappy trigger out of the box (with a little work and 3 setscrews it can be close to target rifle performance)
-uber crappy safety gets dumped almost immediately
-losse bottle colars! Airforce needs to start measuring their extrusions by the batch and make rings to suit
-Same goes for the barrel bushings
-All machining looks as if production speed was the key. Round tipped cutters at high feed to get a pretty smooth finish but crappy tolerances. Man I can do a better machining jub with a roughing toolbit!
-Flimsy scoperail and “triggerblock” Had to slap on a piece of steel u-profile to get the frame to where I’d like it. Also needs a nice chuncky onepiece scoperail or trirail to get the strength at the top.
-Machining on the valveparts could have been done better by a monkey on psychedelic drugs.
-I don’t mind the buttplate too much. I just bend the top of that $0.02 piece of steel so that it locks in the shoulder.
Well I could go on a bit but this would have to do for now. I think you get the idea. These rifles are no positive example of US made quality. I know you guys can do it but this is no example of it!

You say trigger Three (3) set screws? I know of Two (2) preload & over travel what is the third screw?
To be honest not only the accesories are of poor quality. The rifle itself is poorly made. You’d guess in this time of cnc machines they should be able to make some tight fitting quality kit!

I agree on the accessories. Condors & Talons can be real $ pits if you want to improve them for off-hand shooting (plus the shroud, tri-rail, etc.). I don’t think the Workbutt alone is enough, but it does improve consistency/less canting. However I think that until you get a thicker forend, and maybe even a wider shoulder piece, you will never shoot with 99% consistency (without canting the gun).
My wood-stocked Lemak Condor .25 is the only one that comes very close to that. It feels like holding a Springer or better, and amazingly well balanced. It is always on target quickly and at the same “angle”.

I would have to agree, AF’s quality is for shit.. honestly take a look at the grip and the trigger guard that come standard on the rifle, Shittay!! Look at the safety mechanism… the cocking knob, the cheesy attempt at a stock on the back of the bottle… Don’t get me wrong, I love my Talon, but have been slowly pouring money into it from day one to get it where it should have been when I got it. There is no way that my Talon SS is near the quality and craftsmanship of my RWS 48 even though I prefer the Talon. I wouldn’t be suprized if all the parts come over from China in shipping containers.
Yes the quality is real bad and does not justify the price. Recently bought a air force bag and its of poor quality compared to what they charge.

You need a Wokbutt Shoulder piece to solve the off hand shooting problem
It is an adjustable shoulder piece I design and make to help with the ergonomics of shouldering the gun.

A lot depends on where the transport container was on the boat from china. Over months I bought two tri-rails. One was OK while the other had light rust in the screw threads and some striped the Allen sockets. I liked the 4-16X scope for the money. On 16X it is a little milky around the edges. Otherwise the 50mm objective lens gathers a lot of light. It is built strong but mine fell off the bench and bent a little. It was darned hard to straighten.
I bought AF because it is made in USA. When I started buying accessories and found they were made in China , it pissed me off! Then there was the pump. They hardly lasted a month. They were quick to send out rebuilt replacements that weren’t any better. Finally they made me wait over a month until they got a new shipment. By the time it arrived I had bought a HillPump and it worked great for 8-10 months until I left it by a furnace register. I cleaned it out, lubed, and it works great yet without having to replace any o-rings or parts. In the meantime I got out the AF new replacement and was pleased to see what I think are upgrades to what I had originally. It has a wider tapered handle that is more comfortable than my Hill straight handle. Also, the outer surface of the 2nd tube is highly polished. I don’t remember my preious AF pumps looking that good. I used it to refill up to 3000 PSI with no problem. I believe the AF Pump is improved but time will tell.
Nope don’t buy the scope. Don’t buy the pump either.
The canted ETAC will take care of the off hand problems and allow you to fill will with the tank on the gun, Marmotmiltia on this forum makes it. He also makes a adapter to use the Harris type bipods on the AirForce rail.
Installing it imvolves removing the valve from the tank, which you should learn how to do.
Wok sells a dropped butplate that will help with the offhand problems also.
I built up the AirForce rear site with JBWeld and made a peep site out of it, I use that as a co-witness sight with a reddot on a Airarcher/condor.

Well AF actually had 2 different designs trigger parts.
If you look at my quick reference thread:

You’ll see the middle trigger part has two protruding pieces. AF has since changed it to just the one on the bottom. So dependand on what design you have you can use two setscrews or three setscrews.

Here are the mods I did to the trigger!
Shortening the hammer engaging part an polishing it to a mirror finish also helps loads!
