I purchased an M-rod shroud and baffles and cut it to fit a 2240 with about 7.5″ in front of the barrel end. I utilized four baffles and a delrin spacer to line up the inside and taper the end of the cut off shroud down to the Crosman barrel diameter. Delrin held by grub screws in holes I drilled.
It worked absolutely great! It was as quiet as the Marauder rifle, as I calculated the ratio of fit so the Crosman 2240 would have the same approximately distance from barrel to 1st baffle, and allowed the same length of baffled shroud to extend forward of the barrel.
While I could not get too exact, I tried to allow as much ratio of shroud in back of the 10.5″ barrel as was on the longer barrel of the M-rod.
The parts were dirt cheap. Those little baffles were $5.00 a pop and I got five, just in case. Ended up using four, which was plenty.
If you can find some solid tubular delrin or compatible plastic to drill for centering the barrel inside the shroud, and cut to fit the end of the shroud and taper down to the OD of the barrel, it is an easy and effective way to get a very usable and functional shroud. Looked nice too.
