Visit to the FX factory
Hi,
just got back home after visiting the “open house event” hosted by the FX company today.. It was interesting to say the least! A chance to handle and test shoot the range of guns, looking through the “parts bin” where you could find very nice looking walnut stocks for 50-120usd (factory seconds mind you). I’ve also seen a smooth twist barrel beeing made, taken from the machine, mounted in a Royale action and produceing one holers at 20m (five shot groups..) I’m now a smooth twist beliver! I also got the chance to speak to mr Ben Taylor for some twenty minutes. Fredrik Axelsson (mr FX himself) was showing around in the factory, handing out rifles for test shooting, giving advices and sharing his passion for airguns. He also spoke about some of his plans for the future… All in all a great day. I’ll try to upload some pics later on tonight

this is where it all happens..
when we got there we met this guy outside.. Mr FX himself, pictured with his .25cal royal, putting out 65J of energy, amazingly quiet gun.

loads of interesting stuff in this workshop… makes my projects look like something made by the boyscouts..
the test rig, 20m shooting tunnel. Make the barrel, take two steps to the left, mount it in the receiver, shoot and smile…

I’d love to hear about some of the future plans. FX is a company that is bringing new things to market as opposed to just the same old same old…
Now that sounds like a fun day! I would have loved to have been there. Please post some pics.
