You are all to blame… first a Chrony and now… a Diamond Scale… brown should deliver it by early next week.

My bad SSS, didn’t intend to hijack your thread.
Sorry to keep off topic SS.
Joe, I am also looking for people in my area who know a good place to shoot. Not to long ago Valrico was mostly orange groves and cow pastures. Now its all subdivisions and strip malls.
Chin up, Joe! 😀
Figures…I’m just meant to be the only “airgunner” around these parts 😡

LOL SS. Because of this site I have bought the following:
Laser bore sight
Crony
Crony Printer
I bought all this shit and I haven’t even got my rifle yet.
Haven’t bought a scale yet but I was I was considering it.
Where is Valrico, FL?? I am in Fort Pierce, FL. Welcome to your new addiction!
I’m about 20 miles east of Tampa.
I got the ProChrono Digital Chronograph and it’s great. Chairgun is also a great piece of software once you get over the 1990s user interface.
I plan to calculate the BC for “15.8gn 177 Big Boy Senior” pellets. For this I need the diamond scale to remove the weight variable. That will leave wind, gun, and human variables.
I may consider using the scale to hand sort hunting pellets after a visual inspection. For plinking – I just don’t care 🙂

SS,
That’s one sensitive scale!
Be careful with it and let us know some weight variations you get on popular pellets and from tin to tin.
I have to convert from Gram to grains to get my readings and it doesn’t give tenth of grain accuracy.
SS, did you get your ProChrono Digital model chronograph?
the electric scale has to be nice when you weight sort
i have a Lyman balance scale its very sensative and accurate but it takes so long
a digital scale is in my future forsure
Gotcha. I’m sure well see the results of your beta test here.
I’ve been promised some pre-production samples of 177 caliber pellets. The Chrono + new Diamond Scale will allow me to accurately measure fpe and to remove weight variance.
