AF New Tri Rail
Just got a batch of these in. Very impressed.
BKL self centering quality. Big improvement over the old style TriRail…

I too took a small single cut file to mine and rounded the forward sharp, pointy edges. I was most dissatisfied that I had to ruin the black finish in the process, but that’s better than getting cut by it. I haven’t noticed any machining or finish problems with mine. I bought it 3 years ago.
It looks like the new tri rail could suffer from the same sharp edge problem. What do you think Tony, is it sharp?
It is also interesting that there are not any screws in the middle of the new tri rail. I wonder if that compromises the ability of the tri rail to reduce frame flex?
I still think that it is a good accessory and that maybe AF should include one with every gun. I consider it part of the AF learning curve in that people who have no experience receive one of these guns to find out there is not much space for one’s face. After some trial and error over a period of time, they may come to learn about the tri rail and think, as I did, why didn’t AF tell me about this problem to start with? Learning about the frame flex is another problem newbies must figure out. Just a thought.
Thanks for posting pics Tony.
