Having an issue.
Shooting my katana today.. sighted in at 20 yards. When I shoot at targets at 50+ all my shots go to the left every time. If I shoot at 20 again it’s on target. I have BKL weaver adapter and UTG weaver rings set up. Anyone think it’s the rings? They are not the best quality out there.. I was thinking of getting some Burris rings.
If there is another reason for this let me know.

Sight it for 50 and you’ll find the error at 20 acceptable.
I switched back to my UTG long weaver adapter.. no more issue now.

If the scope is not aligned with the bore, you can’t fix the problem. You can only hide it at one range.
Sight in at 30 and you’ll be shooting right at 20 and left at 40, the problem is still there.
if you zero at say 30 yard do you think you would get the same results

So your zero’ed at 20? If you shoot at 30,40 and 50 are you getting a steady change in poi.
Yes, it could be the rings. It could also be that the mounting rail is not machined parallel to the bore.
You could take the rings off and swap them front to back or just reverse their direction to see if that’s the problem.
If it’s not the rings, you may have to shim one of the ring bases (where it clamps on) to get the scope pointed straight down the bore.
