Anyone use a F 1 chronograph. Are they worth 70 dollars? Thanks for reply, Ben

I hear stories like Y’s and I can’t believe that it’s tha same company. I called and described what was happening with my beta and was told “no problem, send it in.” Then they wouldn’t honor their warranty and wanted money to ship it back to me. They were holding it hostage. Their supervisor was nothing less than a cunt. To hell with that company…especially with all of the error messages that I used to get and the limited shot strings.

I just think that others should know what a crazy erratic company chrony can be. If had been warned of this kind of BS, I would have started with a different chronograph, but then again I would not have the opportunity to warn others and promote a much better chronograph.

I had a Beta, which is a few models up from the F1, same construction though.

I dropped a basement door on top of mine, shot the screen, kicked a light kit wire dragging it off a tripod onto and then across a concrete floor but only killed it when I decided to make my own power adapter for it… turns out the 9v adapter was really 15v.

Sent it in with $35 for an upgrade and they didnt even mention the fact it was broken and just updated it to a Gamma.

I have the F1, been using it almost trouble free for 10 years.

It works with any type of projectile, even a slingshot shooting 9/16″ hex nuts.

Just keep a can of compressed air, the kind they use on PCs. Puff out the dust around the sensor lenses once in a while, might even run out a ugly black spider from time to time.

Just be sure your projectile flies across the sensors at least 4″ above. Any closer and they will sometimes not read. Any lower and you might need a new one. 😉

Shoot from a distance of around 3-5 feet from the muzzle and you will not have much trouble. Much closer and vapor/smoke/gas seems to cause errors.

Dont forget to turn it off. It will eat a 9V battery in a few days.

I think one is for paintball and archery. I suspect a lower (cheaper) clock and less precision with faster projectiles.

I’ve been using my ALPHA model for over a year,,no problems whatsoever……I’m sorry, don’t know what difference between the 2 models is…but I’m sure it couldn’t be much…like I said, mine has been trouble/worry free and I use it bunch, seriously!
Get the printer too if at all possible…well worth it’s price and you’ll SO GLAD you did.
