Hammer Spring Adjustment
Looks like the Hammer Spring Adjustment may just do the trick. I made a mistake to begin with by adjusting at 150 bar in the rifle. Had the rifle shooting consistently at 700 fps, then topped off. Velocity fell off to 550 or so but was still very consistent. I figured that it was the added pressure against the valve from the 200 bar fill. I shot several times down to 190 bar or so and adjusted the hammer spring again. As luck would have it, velocity settled just below my target mark of 700 fps. It consistently held at 690 fps down to 155 bar. I didn’t count the shots but I bet it was near 50. That’s giving me just over 19 fpe.
I’ll run it again tomorrow if I have time and see just how many shots I get. I’m pumped that it’s so easy to adjust. In less than 5 minutes, I could be back in hunting trim at 30 fpe.
One that I did notice is some wear in the sear and disconnector (I guess that is the correct term). It’s the two parts that can be viewed through the hole at the rear of the trigger linkage. I believe I’m going to take the trigger off and increase the contact area of those surfaces per Ed’s video. Probably a rotation or two will do it.
Very pleased with the Edgun. I sure hope I’m able to buy another one day.

The sear on my gun has a bit of a rounded edge. So, if you were thinking that was wear, I don’t think it is the case. The slowest I have ever tuned my gun was down to 860fps. I didn’t even know it could be adjusted as low as you have. Interesting….I wonder if it could be lowered all the way to 12fpe for those poor ol’ island blokes.

Well that’s good to know about the sear.
My rifle came to me used, serial number 2044 IIRC. Someone could have adjusted the reg pressure down some before I recieved it. I was shooting somewhat slower than most rifles I hear of. I believe it was 850fps or so with 18.1 JSB.
I’m waiting on some lighter pellets to run at 20 fpe. I think the rifle is going to make a superb Hunter FT rifle.
