Q:

Dedication of shroud to rceiver or barrel

Hello, I’m new to this site and have noted a lot of discussion regarding the legality of removeable airgun devices that quiet a report. I had my TT shroud spot welded to my receiver but would like to consider barrel changes on another gun. Is it possible to coat a barrel with a thin coat of high strength epoxy, slide the shroud over it and then after cure be able to have shroud bonded to barrel where removal causes the guts in the shroud to be damaged. Shroud would be a dedicated barrelled unit. Is this possible? Enclosed pics show where my receiver/shroud were spotted together.

If it takes a hacksaw, and nothing less to remove it, then you may be okay. Just don’t have the parts to make another one laying around.

If you’re concerned then simply leave the gun – stock – and you’re free and clear. Buy beer for your neighbors and negotiate a time that you’d like to shoot with your pellet gun…. works for me 🙂
