.22 cal Beeman Perfect rounds
Just sitting here thinking………
Could multiple 3-? Perfect Round lead bb’s be pressed into the breech of our Condors and function as a shotgun type round similar to a .410 with buck shot? And if so, how many is too many that they dont come out the tube? Most importantly, have you tried it, and what were the results?
The reason for this question.
The fucking black birds have returned in force, as they do every year, shitting on everything in site.
Although I zap a good number, some have a proverbial horseshoe up their ass and get saved by a branch that deflects the shot just past them. I figure if I had a few extra projectiles in flight, I might cut their chances and increase my hit to kill ratio.

just dont tilt the gun up too much, ive had those crappy gamo balls roll back on me before into my valve stem. caught them, fortunately. they can vary a couple of thou one to another, enough to negate the relatively (slightly) small dia. of LW barrels. hate to see what theyd do to your barrel/breech if you dont catch them 😯 . maybe put a cleaning pellet behind them, kinda like a sabot? 😕

Pab you crazy GIT!! haven’t seen you on much lately but I haven’t been on either! What you been up to weather here in IN is still not getting warm so haven’t done much shooting a new member here that lives about 50 miles from me stopped by he wanted to handle and shoot a Condor so showed him what I know about it that took a couple seconds LOL!! 😯 😯 Set him up on my shooting bench and he had fun younger lad by the name of Bryan he had fun I am sure he will end up buying one!
Should be fine for 2 or 3. Obviously the more you use the higher the chance of a jam. The breech would be fine if this happened, might blow an oring though. I would be more concerned about getting a potential jam sorted out than the breech failing.
Voltar 1 uses multiple pellets when he’s testing for power. And he’s not dead yet…. 😉
I figured as much. Im quite sure the condor has enough power to push multiple round balls through the tube. (I used to shoot 2 pellets from the springer I had as a kid, 2 pellets=4 contact rings in the barrel) so three round lead balls, with the power of the condor, shouldnt be a problem. Terminal velocity isnt an issue as the shots are under 40 yards, and consistant POI is not what I’m wanting, rather a semi tight spread so the potential for a hit every time is multiplied. There is nothing more frustrating than a great shot screwed up by a little twig. Hell, Ive missed deer in archery season at under 30 yards cause one little twig happened to hit one blade of my broadhead, and alter the shot.
Now my concern is breech pressure.
Lets say three works, and 4 is too much, wont discharge. Will the breech handle that pressure? I’m thinking that as long as Jerrys slugs have 9 rings, or contact points, 3 balls would only have 3 rings and should blast out fine.
Arrrrrrrgh. So tempting, but I’m gonna wait till I get a verification that I’m not the only retard to consider this a viable option and still has both eyes to be able to read this blog…
I have done this several times withe the Marauder.
The buckshot hits pretty close together at feeder distance (20 yards)
I have shot squirrels and paper with good results.
I have not tried any long range testing.
At 20 yards they usually hit within and inch of each other.
Not sure how much power they have but did kill a few squirrels.
I guess I should try over chrono.
I think it’s a workable idea, but…
1. It would take a LOT of air to push more than one of them through the rifling in your barrel.
2. In a 177 cal the energy on target would be minimal compared to a heavy pellet for instance.
3. In a rifled barrel, 2-3 round balls would probably be so close to each other as to not make much of a spread. To make a shotgun like pattern would take so many as to not make the idea feasable.
Hogfeeder It wound seem to me that there is a few reasons not to try such a thing as that. 1.. the force of on bb hitting the the others may cause one or more of them to misshape and may damage or ruin your barrel…2 accuracy..if all goes well during the fireing process I dont think they would neccesarily follow the same path in flight or POI at the intended target?? maybe not something I would wish to test out myself…3 I bet you like ypur Condor??..if not then try it …but before you do maybe you should send it to me 😎 ..I would test it out on yours 💡 😛 😛 …tezz
