Frame Modification

Modified where the breech knob rotates to lock it against the tophat today. I don’t know about you guys, but mine was mashing the frame. Bad design. Mine barely made it around the corner before it stopped. So I stuck it in the mill and rotated the head to 25* and then cut it further both ways. If I do another one I will do it at 30*. Now it sets againts the frame where it is full thickness instead on the top where it is thinner.

x2 on woks avatar…. :13:

Mine is mashed a good bit and I still have the washer on mine.

WOK. I love the avatar!!! LOL!!!

Mine has a small steel collar on the bolt. At first I thought I was going to have to relieve more for the sear. When I was putting it back together I realized that it only works when you are cocking it back. So I didn’t have to do anything.

Looks good.

If it smashes the frame chances are the small plastic sleeve for the bolt has gone missing.

Do you modify the bolt and mill a slot for the sear or is it still fine?
