Q:

Lelya ergonomics

Hey guys,

Does anyone out there happen to have a picture of the trigger hand position on the Lelya? What I’m interested in is how the last two fingers are placed, assuming that you have managed to keep all of them. It appears that the last two fingers wrap around the bottom of the stock at an awkward angle, whereas on the Matador, you have a full straight grip.

A handgrip butt piece, like a black oval bottom that extends out and around the bottom of the grip, like on the big boys guns, would do the trick and would look nice as well.

Lots of target pistols sport those oval shaped bottom finger stops. Simple to make, screw on, file the Lelya grlp flat and on it goes. Problem solved with grace and simplicity!

Good idea, might just work! Adding a small piece of wood or some other material to get the last two digits inline with the rest of the grip might work too.

Look at the top picture and note the shadows cast by the bottom two fingers.

It almost appears that two shallow “finger channels” have been dremeled into the stock and painted.

This would not be difficult to do, even with a semi-round fine grain wood file. Somewhere on here, someone found a paint, Krylon Grey I believe, that matches the original paint very well.

Just a thought, but it seems it might solve the dilemma of finger slippage.

zocoloco – that stock definitely looks more comfortable!

Mark – I haven’t handled either of the pistols you mentioned, but am more accustomed to pistol gripped guns. 🙂

Not really comfortable…. But somehow it works….

This custom stock looks more user friendly I think:

Hi Mark,

Thanks for taking the pics, they’re exactly what I was looking for, except that I was hoping for a nice gal in a bikini holding the gun. ;P Still very much appreciated, though!

The bottom of the trigger grip still looks a bit weird to me… is it comfortable?

Thanks,
