Custom unwanted fluting
My condor has developed an unwanted design, a “flute” recently showed up on my breech. I always lock the knob to the left, and probably dont even have 500 pellets through this. It seems that where the lock notch is has began to deform and is cutting into my breech. Is there something I can do to prevent further degredation of the frame?

I had the same problem. They need to cut the notch a little more. Mine would barely get past the corner. The breach is also hitting against the thinnest part of the frame. Fixed the problem by putting it in the mill and making the notch bigger.
Yeah, I gotta do something, the guys at AF should know bwtter than to use two different hardness of metals at stress points, destined to failure.
glad to help it should work use like a sliperry plastic like the stuff bic pens are made of. some one will know the name of the plastic i just cant rember right off hand
Thanks for the info. Ill try the plastic deal first till I get a new breech and bolt setup.
putt l little o ring on the knob where it hits. i have a lathe so i made a plastic ring then i kinds heated the plastic then cocked the gun let it cool and it made a great mold to allow it to slide and take that stupped little gap between the breach and top hat. witch just bugged the hell out of me. oh a peace of a pen works good to lol

Mine does it bad, so to keep from scoring the breech, or more importantly slowing it down from the burrs that will form inside the tube, I take a small round swiss file and remove the burrs.
Subsonnic makes a cure for the entire thing.
Mines too dude. I push mine to the left and can get a bit more length out of the the TH than pushing to the right lol. But it’s seemed to find it’s home now.
It has a little thin ring that goes over the threads of the knob, appeared metal rather than plastic though??
Your cocking knob should have a hard plastic washer the keeps the bolt from the knob from pounding your frame.
