Funny accuracy issue
Just took the Edgun to the range today to test accuracy etc and was stacking them consistently into o e hole at 25 yards. Some five shot groups were no wider than a pellet, literally. However, at 50 yards the groups pretty much sucked. The best were 1 inch groups maybe?
How can that be?
I was shooting JSBs 15.9 at about 950fps as well as 18gr at about 905fps.
Any thoughts?

tonaka hammered at everything I was going to mention. If your barrel is fouled with lead, the gun will hold accuracy at short range. But, the fouling will cause pellet instability at longer ranges. This will definitely open things up.
I’d clean that barrel. If you shoot it right after cleaning, it will likely take 30 shots to get things back on track. Or, you can wait a day before you shoot it, and the solvent will be almost completely evaporated from the barrel – taking only a few shots to resume POI.
