I have begun to use this free app because it is more portable than using the otherwise great HawkeOptics.com “ChairGun Pro”. ChairGun can print range cards etc. but the wind here in NW Ohio changes to often for even multiple printed charts.

Strelok has some really neat features including showing different wind speeds at the mil-dots along the horizontal recticle line. For gusty winds, most often the case here, I enter the Wind Gust speed and note the lower wind speed given for the nearby small county airport in my weather app. By taping on the Wind Direction box, a compass appears that you can drag the indicator around to the approximate direction.

OK, the main screen starts with:
Distance, yards (this is the distance to your prey or current target, as opposed to what the rifle was zero’d at);
Slope angle, degrees;
Wind speed, mph (this is where I enter the gust speed);
Wind direction, degrees (explained above);
Weather,…(tap on this box to set your current conditions, Altitude, Temperature, and Barometric PSI) (or just select the checkbook for the Standard PSI & Temp. for the entered Altitude);
Note, the next box will show your personal info for up to 3 rifle setups with separate zeroing distances and the weather conditions that existed at the time of the zeroing.

Just one of several more features that should peak your interest is the Recticle box. Tap this box and you have 40 Recticle patterns to choose from. For my Hawke Sidewinder Tactical scope I select “Mil-DotBar 0.5 Mil (Millet)” but I have yet to determine if it is correct for both the 10 & 20 true mil-dot that my scope is.

Oh, in the “Cartridge” box it accepts our Pellet weight, BC, FPS, & Temperature at time of the given FPS. It appears to calculate the % of FPS change for every 15 degrees F.
