Q:

CARBONFIBER TANK

I returned my 3442psi steel tank to sport chalet.
My fill setup seems to rub on the handle of the scuba tank.
So I’m on the look out for a new CF tank. Which one should I order

So for about $350 you can have basically unlimited air for about 5 years in your garage. That seems pretty hard to beat and nothing will come close to that price. Basically no maintenance except The o-rings in a fill station and you can get the paintball fill stations like a PMI used for about $200 with a female foster fitting. Then maybe a 44 SCBA tank used for another $200-300 for portability/hunting/etc, an adapter, gauge/whip and you are set for a very long time.

I bought two used 2007 44 CF SCBA’s for $400 and about $200 for the gauge/hose/adapters but i have to feed the local firehouse Krispy Kremes from time to time for free air – LOL. Actually the main problem is the firemen love to talk and I am normally stuck there an hour or so each fill.

If you have room for the big rental tank you would have a perfect setup. I have a buddy with two 300 cu ft steel 4750 psi tanks and a PMI fill station that I get air from occasionally that he uses for paintball at his house. He gets them filled every 6 months or so at the local firehouse too but having all of that air at home is awfully convenient.

If their rental charge includes a regulator then JUMP on it!!!

I have a 80cf 3k psi scuba and a 44cf 4.5k SCBA with whip.

I never use the scuba anymore since I got a shoebox 😀

. Although I want a guppy tank. I feel it’s a more down the road purchase.
I live 25miles from Sport chalet. So I want a large enuff tank to last as long as possible.
I have an account at barns welding. They said they can order a 6000psi 720CF tank for a $148.00 a year,
$202.88 per fill, 25 dollar delivery charge and it weights 394LBS. That’s 697 fills from 2000 to 3000 .
So maybe I’ll by a guppy and rent that. I’m not sure.
I really wanted to add another air rifle to the collection. Maybe Rogue?
I think instead of saving for the new air gun my next addition will be a Quality scope I’m thinking the burris range finder modle.
I don’t want a super nice gun with an 80 dollar scope. I want to compare good to bad on my own.
To many reviews. Thank God starting today 3wks vacation with the wife, so I don’t have to worry about ordering a tank right away.
It’s going to be pool side Crown N Coke Boy’s.

I was thinking 88cf or bigger

How much air you need?
