2000 psi Reg Shot String
Took a little break from making things for other people and got back to the important things, the guns. Did this before but deleted it by mistake. Seems like the reg has settled in and this is where is going to stay. When I first started with this setup it was shooting mid 950’s. I made a setup to test the reg pressure and bought a $350.00 guage to check and see what guages are right. None. Everyone is off on my fill whips. Compressor is the most accurate and only off 50 psi. I have 3 regs, 2000 2300 2500. Well the only one that was what it was suppose to be was the 2000 psi and it is 2016. I was worried that maybe it was higher and that was the reason it shoots so hard and not my ring for more volume. The 2300 was 2060 psi and the 2500 was 2660 psi. Took me at least 2 hours of playing with the washers and now they are what they are suppose to be. Now I just have to build my new version of the Etac-reg so I can get more FPS out of lower psi regs.

The only place to get a 53ci tank is from Catalina as far as I know. That is where I got my 3 from. $70.00 ea. plus shipping from Evergreen Midwest Company. Tanks come 5/8-18 threads and you don’t have to change them to 18×1.5mm but I did so everything is the same. Etac is $100.00 and Etac-regs are $90.00 I think. If you want 900 fps you are going to need a 2500 psi reg. I get 2500 numbers with a 2000 reg because I have a modified Etac-Reg that has more volume for the reg. I’m going to build something new for the reg and I’m hoping I can get the same numbers with a 1800 psi reg. Then the 2000 reg will be for kodiak’s. There another option for a tank. It is a 62 ci tank from guerrilla air. They are about 1″ shorter than 53 ci but are a little bigger around. Works good with etac-reg for length of pull. They are only $39.99 from ANS Gear. Same thing 5/8-18 and should be 18×1.5mm for compatibility.
