tuning Question???
what is the best power wheel, top hat setting to get best fpe per psi possible…???????????? mainly how to get kodiacks going 1000+fps while still being efficient.?

One of my top hats is set at .65 and with a 24 inch barrel on 22 caliber you can’t tune it below a sonic boom, it goes above 1200Fps. So I installed the 12″ barrel, and it hits touching holes at the 42 43 yard range with Diablo Exacts in the 22 caliber.
thanks…. yeah right i only have a 23.8 inch .25cal barrel. i got the power wheel,, for the top hat i gues ill start at 0.88.. seems resonable.
All my guns shoot good on 37 or 47. When I got my condor it was setting on 37 and I keep it there.
The speed depends on the pellet, I use the Diablo Exacts to get the 900’ds FPS and the accuracy is almost touching at 42 or 43 yards give or take.
The Heavy’s will fly slower but you’ll get more Foot Pounds.”In the 800’ds to low 900’ds. That is starting with a 2500 pounds tank pressure. If you go higher you’ll have to adjust your wheel higher and you’ll still get about the same FPS just more spring tension with maybe a little more energy, Now if yoy like the sonic Boom and have the 24″ barrel, just go to 3000 PSI and adjust the wheel on about 10, and you’ll have high speed and a group at about an inch and a half at 42 yards, that’s not bad, but I like the tighter groups so I slowed mine down. The guns I use is 25 caliber and I have one 22 caliber 12 inch barrel, and the 25’s make the most power,. Diablo or EJ’s 43 or 38 grains is fine for me,, You’ll have to set the gun for what you want to shoot.
If you’re shooting a Coyote high power and a one and a half inch group is fine, but squirrels or rabbits at 43 yards you’ll want to crank down the 22 to the 800 or low 900’ds and you’ll be fine.
It depends on you, the guns will do anything but you have to set them to your preference. Also they have One 12″ 25 barrel left on the Air Force site as of this morning, it could be gone not sure But it is a good add on for your gun,. Might want to go look at it. 😀
You have all your answers already… the start pressure, accurate FPS for your most accurate pellet… all your missing is tuning to reduce wasted air and a flat curve.

If you get 30-40 shots before POI shift then don’t bother messing with it – it’s fine as it is. Spend the free time shooting!
OK whats youre tophat setting now?
What pellets do you have?
What FPS does it shoot at 3000, 2800, 2600 2400 psi fill?

it is broken in…. i just need a good setting to start with before adjusting… kodiacs are accurate in my barrel… i just need a good setting that’ll get em going about 1065 fps thats a good fps for my gun oh and i fill to 2900 psi thats wat works best for me… please if anybody knows.. do tell..
First – break the gun in – and then find the most accurate FPS for a pellet. Once you have the FPS… start tuning your start pressure, top hat, and measuring your shot curve. It’s not easy but worth the effort.
Be aware that Kodiak’s might not be the most accurate pellet in your gun for your target range.
I didn’t mess with any of that. I found a pellet that the barrel liked… found the start pressure and PW that was consistent and measured how long it took for the POI to shift. So for me – 50 yards, 30 shots, UltraMag 18gn. And then I had time left over to drink beer and watch sports.
