Nightvision and Shotgun?

Hi, guys.
I have a new barn, and I’m anticipating night visitors. I’d love to have the where with all to spot shoot with my Talon SS, but my problem will be coyotes or raccoons or fishers.
They can move like greased lightning.
So, I’m thinking 12 gauge. Maybe #4 or #5 shot?
Now, what about night vision with a shotgun to defend barnyard animals?
