umm, target turrets for scopes?
how hard is it to make target turrets for scopes? for some that are confused, target turrets (i think thats the name for them…ugh, who’s confused now?!) are aftermarket (or custom- hint hint) knobs that make a normal scope w/out external knobs into a scope w/external knobs -or- target knobs…so, how hard are they to make? i have some specs, and im suspecting theyre too small to make…
Elevation knob height: 1.028″
Elevation knob O.D.: 1.50″
Windage knob height: .622″
Windage knob O.D.: 1.380″
thoughts on costs? i have pics too of what i want them to look like, so if anyone wants to PM me maaaaybe let me know a ballpark price…THANKS!!!

true and true…but im building a custom airgun that looks like an M40A1…i want one that i can shoot anywhere i want to, whenever i want to. to clone the MST 100 scope, i have to have custom knobs made…im also considering knobs that just go over the stock knob covers, basically just for looks. that way i dont have to worry about whether they match up or not and whether they seal well or not. the build is basically just for looks. theyre no longer making the MST 100 scope, and i dont do enough real steel shooting to warrant a full build- which would be upwards to 7-8k…but an airgun warrants a 1-1500 bucks because i can shoot it more! weird, i know…but to each his own, right?
You can purchase these wheels that attach onto the existing knob and are held in place with a set-screw or two.
Try searching for them on Google or Bing.
I have seen them for Centerpoint scopes for sure.
To be honest. one custon know if you want to keep everything watertight will run you anywhere between 100 and 150 dollars. Not worth the cost imho.

buying a scope w/target turrents defeats the purpose of having custom one’s made 07! not sure of the I.D. but they would attach like normal aftermarket (or custom) turrets, via the stock knob cover threads. scope’s going to be a bushnell banner 4×32. the cost of the knobs will definatly exceed the cost of the scope, considering its only a 70 dollar scope…no worries though, its for a project i have…i would also have no problems sending the scope to the machinist who’s building them (if i can find one) as they do need to fit, and my experiance w/measuring and drawing things for machinists i s nonexsistant…
You may consider selling that scope and then buy another scope with target turrets!
More dimensions are needed to machine turrets. The id, method used attaching turrets to scope, brand and model of scope, cost may exceed value? I don’t think how large would be a problem, but the calibrated lines and numbers would be the challenge ¿ You would need to send the machinist your scope for proper fitting, if your measurements don’t work, well, don’t expect a refund.

Like Marc wrote, cost a few $, not for a wallmart scope.
To make a real Mil Spec’s Turret, it need some parts, my home brew,
see picture scope is an old Zeiss 6×42
Talon & Target Turret & Rangefinder = a shooting system,
for 10 to 100 Yards+ ( if there is not to much wind 👿 )
When I have no target turret or rangefinder I’m lost. 🙁
