Q:

ok either im crazy or somthins wrong????

today i was shooting my condor i fired 15 shots and thought im gonna go fill it up because 15 shots is rite…rite??? the power wheel was on 5.5 and when i started filling i noticed that the tank was at 2700psi (cause i followed the old pressure guage needle trick, when the needle stops jumping the valve is excepting air)…….. how can this be after 15 shots…. im confused 😕 😕 😕

lol….. my regular groups at 60 yards is about quarter size with kodiacks i was just testin a new pellet and didnt work(obviously)

That’s not too bad. How fast did you say the target was moving ?

yep 22 gr heres the group at 60 yards.. actually it doesnt deserve to be called a group.. stupid supersonic…

What weight are the pellets, i’d guess about 19-22 grains? 😉

oh ok…. i guess ill move pw to 4 first see how that goes… i dont lik the crackling u get when pellets go supersonic cause i get scared of police and i lose every bit of accuracy i ever had

good point in all this i forgot to consider how much smaller the mrod tank is allthough 300 psi drop seems low to me still….

Here is some of my testing data.

20 shots, 25 cal, tophat at 0.088″, power wheel at 7/1, Condor valve, 24″ barrel, average velocity 990fps, 30 grain pellets, starting pressure 2850, ending pressure 2250, psi per shot 30, high fpe 55.3

I don’t think anything is wrong, in fact if you turn that baby down a bit you’d save air and still have good velocity, and that’s a good thing!!! 😉

chronograph broke but i can say this 22 gr pellets were breakin the sound barrier makin that distinct crackling sound….meaning they were going over 1060 but idk… ill buy a new chrony soon…

Consider tank size. A Condor has 490 cc and a Mrod has 215 cc.

Do you know the velocity of the pellets?

It sounds like it is shooting on low power but it;s impossible to tell without knowing velocity.

yes i started at 3000 psi (idk my gun likes it) and it was at 2700 when i stopped after 15 shots at 5.5 on pw… it seems it should be lower my power tuned mrod takes pressure down to 2400 after 15 shots while starting on 3000psi…(i didnt go for efficiency)

If you have a stock Condor I think you will use roughly between 23 and 29 psi per shot (don’t quote me) so that is like 345 to 435 psi. Did you start at 3000 psi (and gauges do vary) ?
