308 Corsair
After a breaking in of about 200 pellets I ordered 100 165 Grain Pellets 308 Diameter From Hunters supply. The measurement on my scales was 167, But I figured the below on 165 grains.
Speed through the Chrono was average of 3 pellets and the average speed, Not much difference in any but more or less, and I’m not talking much about the more or less, cause all pellets was close. The group was 1 inch at 45 yards, but 2 of the pellets was touching the third being 1″ I dare not call it a flyer, cause it is shooting as good as any gun I’ve fired yet.
Now here are the figures average of 794.6 Feet Per second= 231.38 Foot pounds of energy in my calculations.
That’s Almost twice the TKO of a 22 magnum and almost the foot pounds of energy of the 22 magnum.
Has any one else used their corsair with the above mentioned pellets and if so what is the results.
I’m 100% satisfied with mine, just curious about the rest of you Corsair Owners.. 😀 😀
And will this beet Shooting fishing sinkers? 😀 😀 😀 Uh”” I have a few Deer in my bottom feeding on my apples Pssst psssst…. 😀 😀

Fun little gun isn’t it Shaggy? And yes, it does shoot very well indeed. Gonna buy some of the 118 gr bullet from them in the very near future. Time to try out some lighter weight stuff in my Corsair.

Are those HARD CAST bullets by the way or pure lead?

My Gun seems to love them.
At 45 yards I shot at the bottum of a 1 quart plastic oil can and it hit dead center standing on its side, went plum threw it and ripped the seams out of the Can and never turned the can over.
3 shots and eatch went past the TKO of a 22 magnum by over 2 times, and the gropus is as good as anything Ive shot yet in an airrifle.. 😀 😀
150-155 grs are about the heaviest i got or dare to go. For 308, i like weights between 120 and 150 grs.

I tried the 75 grain pellets and they fly fast, the 4’th shot was in the high 900’ds, From memory I think the first was in the 1100’ds.
Pretty good for an Air rifle.
The 165 Grains is really likable in that rifle, but the 115 grains is about 10 Foot pounds difference.
I used the same tank fill for eatch shot and cleaned the barrel spotless for eatch shot to see if the gun was consistant and it was. a 1″ group at 45 yards me shoting is a good shot. I don’t have a sturdy bench rest like I see people using I have a Bipod and a shaky table, but I can still keep it in one inch. the speed with the 165’s are anywhere between 792.2 and 803.8 so that isnt a bad spread, and in the 115 Grains, it is close average 210 and 220 Foot pounds depending on temperature.
Hunters supply 165 grains goes in the gun real easy, just make sure you tell them Air gun Pellets or you’ll get 311 diamater pellets and they wont fit. 😀 😀
