Just put my Subssonic Shroud on my .25 Taon SS
My Shroud from Subssonic arrived today and I couldn’t be happier. My Talon SS is neighbor friendly again. I ran a few shots over my chrono and with the 24 in/.25 barrel and the stock Talon valve, I was in the 735-742fps range with H&N Barracudas. Those .25 pellets hit hard!!!! When I had my 12in/.22 barrel on there it was only shooting between 815-840fps.
The .25 pellets hit way harder then the .22 pellets did even though they are moving almost 100 fps slower, I guess bigger is better 😆 even though my wife tells me otherwise. I do think that I don’t get that shot count that I was getting before but I will run some strings this weekend when I go out to my buddies farm.

How much distance infront of the barrell to the insert ?

the insert length will very depending on the length of the shroud to help inshure alignment.
i usually leave 1/2″-3/4″ from the muzzel to the first baffle
the tube is how ever leng it needs to be to fit the buyers setup (these are made one at a time to fit )
cost is $100-$150 depending on length and number of baffles desired (5 is standard)
the tube, mount and end cap are all aluminum and the baffles are plastic to help keep the weight down. the mount and end cap are pressed and pinned to enshure things dont come appart when you’re shooting…

You should ask Subssonic the details, It is long but then again so is a 24in barrel sticking out of a Talonn SS 😀 I would say it is 6-7 inches longer then that. He made one for my SS originally and I was very happy with that one, this one seems lighter then his first design and works a little better, But his first design worked great too. No Complaints here 😀
