Q:

My POI keeps changing… Frustration setting in.

I had my TSS Dialed in like a champ, I removed my barrel and for some reason I cannot get my gun to shoot to the same spot, to the point I have ran out of adjustments on my Hawke Scope. I am getting pissed 👿

It would seem to me that if the barrel comes out and goes back in, It should shoot to the same spot!! Am I mistaken?? I never removed the bushings.

Also when I look down my shroud without the barrel in, I see some sort of O-Ring wedged in there hanging down. I was unable to remove it because I didn’t have something to reach in there and grab it when I was out at the farm.

Does anyone have any Idea what it is??

Im glad you got this sorted out… but i agree with Riff pull it appart and fix it now…

Greg

That flat washer sits between the barrel bushing and the power adjuster.

It acts as a friction-ring to keep the PW from adjusting itself.

If you still have it between the spring and the hammer, its going to give you grief but soon. 😛

Take it apart now and fix it. 😉

I took it apart today and the O-ring was actually that rubber washer which must have came dislodged one of the times I had it apart. I wasn’t exactly sure where I was supposed to put it but I put it between the Spring and the Hammer weight 😕

Would I hear something if it were clipping? I would figure it would make some sort of noise, I guess I could have just taken off the shroud and shot it a few times uncorked and checked to see if there was a different POI.

Anyways I put it all back together and shot it a few times and it is driving tacks at 15yrds. I haven’t had the opportunity to stretch its legs dues to the neighborhood I live in 🙁

You say when looking down the shroud, you see an o-ring? Are you talking about your frame tube, or an add-on shroud/extender?

Your problem definitely sounds like clipping. I seriously doubt you could move POI completely out of your scope range just by removing and reinstalling your barrel.

If that o-ring is in the pellets path, your not gonna hit a damn thing you are aiming at.

Another thought…did your hammer spring have a “silencer” tag? Mine was a white strip of tape wraped around one coil of the spring. It just hangs inside the spring and is supposed to dampen some noise. Mine would creep around and peek at me out of the power wheel indicator slot.

I didn’t have the power wheel out, although I did have it out awhile back (I think) I will tear it down and start form scratch when I get some spare time.

Harryparatestis,
Do you also have the power wheel spring and hammer out?
There should be the 2 white O rings the power wheel rides on and a black flat washer between the power wheel and hammer spring. If all that is out, I’d get that hanging O ring out with maybe a broom handle. Oh, the talon end cap has a thin black 0 ring? Could that be it?
