Q:

good to be back…

been a while, job took a big shit on me. anywhoo, my breech split in 2, into a front and back piece. got 1 coming now, but my bird collected a few minor rust spots(barrel, mirror polished) , whats my best bet to do away with it? i was thinking 0000 steel wool and a light teflon coating. any objections?

wok, you never fail me with them avatars…

Squirt some break free or even WD40 on it and a little tender care with 0000 wool should work. Also rub that stuff down with divers silicon and it will not rust.

Well I found a chart on Scotch Brite and so I have 0000 steel wool for 800 – 1000 grit, Scothbrite white for 1000 – 1500 grit and polishing compound for the 2000 + mirror finish.
