Q:

Trigger pulls – no fire – safety stuck

Here is my dilemna. I went to put in a new hammer. Also I need to put in a Subssonic bolt handle. To install the bolt handle I had to remove the tank collar, which means had to remove the handle, trigger guard and cover plate that holds the firing mechanism. I made sure I had the gun updside down so as nothing fell out.
Well the safety fell out and I think the end goes infront of the tiny spring.
I slid the new hammer in and put all else back in place.
The safety moved forward and is stuck in that position (maybe it’s waiting for the trigger to fire).
The trigger pulls back all the way but nothing else happens. The hammer is not released ?

I see tha trigger mechanism here and the safety looks to be in right.
Maybe it’s the way the ahmmer i sin ???

SOLUTION:
The safety had hopped out of place on assembly and was infront of the safety bar.

If you can get the bolt off the breech you don’t need to remove the tank collar if you remove the trigger plate and depress the sear…

At least that is the way I did it without any issues except for having to put the trigger springs back in… 😡

The safety spring decided to take a flying leap when I opening the plate. I did take lots of pictures of the trigger setup prior to taking it apart though.

Glad to hear you got it working again. 😉

Perhaps the forward extension of the trigger was not positioned between the rear two extensions of the Seer part #8 in the diagram. The trigger would appear correctly positioned but will not move the seer to release the hammer stop.

Thanks for the reply.

Does the safety rod hit the trigger guard when you push it toward? Sounds like the rod is not in in front of the little spring.
