Proud New Condor Owner
Greatings from sunny South Africa. I’ve recently become a proud owner of a Condor in .177. I’ve been looking for one for a while-they’re pretty hard to come by around here-but I managed to get the .177 but will convert to .22 asap. These rifles are in a class of their own and completely changes airgunning as I know it. It seems there’s a lot to learn and I’m really looking forward to it.
I’ve noticed that there are many helpfull guys on the forum so I’ll be asking/posting questions as I go.

Either your scope is not parallel to the barrel or you’re shooting curveballs.
I finally had a chance to test the rifle, accuracy wasn’t bad but what I found was that at different distances the poi would either shift left or right-depending on distance. The rifle was zeroed at 30yrds. Tight groups but as I move further back the poi would shift right. Under 30yrds it would shift left. Sometimes the other way round. It was breezy but I doubt the wind was to blame. What would cause this? My starting preasure was 2800psi-too high? How do I find my rifles sweet spot, I mean what am I looking for? Any help would be apreciated. Thanx!
I shoot 24″ Condor .22 – Skenco UltraMags and they group just fine at 1080fps at 50 yards… so you should be able to coax some good accuracy out of your gun. Don’t forget your start pressure, my condor likes 2400psi start vs my TSS 177 which likes a 2600psi start.
Thanx SSShooter, that’s valuable info. I was lucky to have bought those exact pellets the day after I got my rifle. I’ll test them later today, I can’t get my rifle under 1015fps, I’m going to see what accuracy is like at this velocity and then see if I need to adjust my tophat.
Any other tips welcome.
Consider a heavy pellet for the 177 Condor… I’ve had good luck with the Skenco NewBoy 15.8 177 pellet in my Talon SS 177… A Condor should like its heavy weight.

Hi RC, yes I had a S510. It was sold to fund my Condor purchase. At the current exchange rate-R7,15/ US$-the S510 cost me R10 000. It was sold for R9000, the Condor was pre-owned for which I payed R6500-more or less the price of a new one(you can only get them if you’re lucky to get one or import yourself) the S510 was my Long range/hunting rifle.
I haven’t shot with my Condor yet, definitely tomorrow.
I took the .177 as it was all I could get, but will do a calibre upgrade when finances allow. The Condor has been a dream for a while which has finally been realised. Can’t wait to see what the power is like.

Not as many use the Condor in 177 compared to the 22 or the 25 here, due to the power and the light projectiles, they have trouble keeping them under the speed of sound for good accuracy.
You have any questions ask away, but I have two questions for you.
Do you have a AA510? How much did you pay for those guns, the 510 and the Condor in South Africa?

Most likely the scope is not optically centered with the bore. Try zeroing for 50 yards and see if the shift at 30 is acceptable. Also, be very sensitive to your hold… any cant will cause the pellet to shoot right/left of target.
