Q:

Searching for a Talon P shroud

Who is modifying their shroud to work wiht the Talon P and not be any longer than say 4 inches as the Talon P is rated at 50+ FPE (maybe we can sqeak 60 out of it easily) ?

The FrameExtender shroud for my Condor just is too long, so this time I’m looking for diameter, maybe even greater than the frame OD diameter to pick up that extra needed volume. And it has to light as the Talon P is about 3.5 lbs. And it has to be lower priced since the Talon P base cost is $360.

How would a talon SS frame on a talon P behave?

Tony – If I calculate correctly, by increasing the diameter of the shroud from the frame round of 1.258 inches to the diameter of the frame rail of 1.560 inches, that will increase volume by 50% for any given length.
Some optimal minimum length can be achieved.

Oh yeah…you already did that…hmmm…searching for more ideas…

Hi Tony;

So you built the first TT P, before AF built the Talon P. :8:
Specs are the same, 50 FPE+, so it must have your tuned valve in there.

Question – can you get your newer shroud to get as much noise reduction as you do with the Condor (90+ FPE), percentage wise, since this is only 50+ FPE, instead of just 75% reduction ?

I would like to just hear …puff…

Did you see this….
