Q:

My New Shroud

Finished up my new shroud today. A friend hooked me up with a Porche race team and they let me use there 1640 lathe. Boy I can’t wait for mine to show up sometime next week. Been a while since I have used a real lathe. It will go to the anodizer in a couple of weeks when get all my aluminum things done. Works real good. Made it a little bigger in diameter 1.75″ to make up for my baffle system.

It just has some boring delrin baffles in it. Nothing special.

Doug that looks awesome! I really dig it in the metallic look with the tank as well. Is that a 25 or 308, the prototype that is. Are they available now? I gotta say buddy your work looks top notch and I want an early Xmas gift, gotta talk to the boss though.

wow – you have such nice toys

Had my new shrouds type III anodized today. Next time i will have them bead blast them and give it a more matte finish. Also had my bipod mounts done.

I wanted to thank you for allowing me to send you my gun and setting it up for me. New shroud, Trigger job and valve work. I have everything up and running finally after I messed up my valve seal. Its very quiet. I removed the shroud multiple times and its has worked flawlessly. The trigger cant be better. I shot 903 892 901 890 (6 ring) after changing the seal or whatever its called. Pretty much the same hole all four shots at 50 yards. It seems down on power some now compared to when I first received it from you. I think its because of the seals they sent me from airforce are alot bigger then the one that was in tank. Im gonna be testing it out tomarrow morning on the corn feeder. Cant wait to see what comes bye. Its been a very long time since my gun has shot correctly. Thanks again. Im gonna post some pics of gun and animals as soon as I figure out how to.

Hows that beast working with 200 fp? Looks dope i want one now .

Thanks. It is 16″ long and weighs 15 ounces. I can make it lighter but I’m building it for 140+ fpe. This is proto type. Next one will screw together and might have a added baffle piece.

how much does it weigh? How long…and what would you say the noise reduction percentage is? Very nice work!!!

It feels good to design and build something. Nice.
