Top heavy AF rifles
Ok Airforce rifles with a scope are top heavy. Makes it kinda hard to balance especially in unsupported positions. What can be done to help this? Weight in the grip and forearm, bipod, maybe a trirail on the lower part of the frame, and ???

When I bought my condor used, they guy shipped it as part of the package.
You can still find Kobra (Russian made) sights online, but they can get pretty spendy.
Search for IZH-AXION, as seen from this side. When I searched today, it brought up my first post here about it. 😉

15 shots at 30 yards. Ive never grouped it at 50, but hit plastic golf balls every time at that range.
.22 barrel, 12″. Condor valve, JSB 18 gr at 960fps
It shoots .20s just as well if not better and thats my favorite plinking/hornet shooting barrel.
Ok so I will try adding a little weight on the bottom and get more practice in unsupported postions. Its just much harder for me to shoot an AF rifle offhand than a traditional stock rifle. AF rifles are not new to me..I have over 20,000 shots on my Talon and I am the only owner.

What kinda groups can you get with the red dots at 50 yards?
Heres my sig pic rifle with the Kobra.
Its a super light and handy rifle in this config.
But like Saw says, its limited to around 50 yards max due to NO magnification. Absolutely NO parallax issues either it always hits on the dot.
riff is right, nothing beats just getting used to the AF platform, soon becomes natural as pissing…
The red dot is the one that was included on my Sig 516 patrol.
It is very compact, lightweight and the dot is pin point, I like it
no magnification though, great for crows in the nearby trees, out to about 50 yards max.

What’s the score on the gophers? Whose winning?
The only way to lessen the topheaviness is remove the scope, or add weight to the bottom of the rifle. Neither is a good choice.
Nothing beats practicing with the rifle. Soon enough your muscles learn how to handle the rifle.

I outfitted my ss with a red dot sight, plain and simple
no doo dads either, just a frame length shroud
Stock every thing else
I have another SS snd also a Talon with scopes, bipods all the shit
and they are great, however, my naked SS with the next to nothing
red dot is now my favorite.

bipod would help, and i actually made a little emergency parts kit with screws, o rings, v-stem, etc. mounted with a cheap 1 piece mount in front of front grip, sure a beefy flashlight would help, also. anybody tried out that BSA laser collimator?

That grip adapter is custom made by JFK, unobtainable as no more will ever be made. I think he made 4 or 5 of these.
The front grip I mounted with a modified hunk of Pic rail, which WAS shipped with the Condor.
The Condor seller mounted a fake AR15 magazine on the rifle, which served as a vertical grip/accessories container. I never liked it so I took it off.
This rifle is a TalonSS frame I got from Y.
