Q:

25 cal Condor – going from 30-90 to 60-120 FPE spread

😀
As revealed in this other thread…

http://talonairgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=209455#209455

…I had a nice 30 to 90 FPE range going from Powerwheel 0/0 with the light 25.4 gr JSB Exact Kings up to 13/0 with the 43.2 gr EunJuns and that was with the only mod of a Tony 95 gram hammer.

Now with this new setup in this thread…

http://talonairgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21183

… my FPE spread is approximately 60 to 120 (59 to 126). This was achieved with:
Tony 95 gram hammer
R&L Extreme valve
Tagdagger Valve Spring and Retaining Nut and Vented Delrin

What really stands out is the FPE achieved with a 0/0 setting meaning less hammer slamming (and all the other things associated with a tensioned Main Spring) is going on which should improve accuracy.

Ring = Jerry Slug, EJ = EunJun, EK = JSB Exact Kings

Yes the REAL 6-rings are. I acquired some 9-Rings for testing and cut below the 6th ring, so I’m a tad light.

Jerry x-Ring Slugs are hard hitting no matter what the weight.

AG1 – What top hat gap are you running? I only have a stock hammer. How much of a difference are you seeing with the xtra hammer weight?

I’m using the factory default of .088 inches.

A full string is well worth knowing. Consistency equals accuracy.

airgunner – Your shots really help me with starting points for my group accuracy test.

Were you able to do do any shot strings with the EJ’s? My rifle is bone stock and I’m trying to find a sweet spot (psi – PW). Do you think you could get 10 without much of a FPS change?

I honestly won’t shoot 10 of anything where I live, so a string is not worth finding, if you know what I mean.

I keep the tank at 3000 psi standing by for a grab and go. I plan to do strings at 3000 to 2800 maybe, for each pellet, also in case I do pull off shoots of various pellets weights. My priorities are FPE + Accuracy.

Nice work. You’ve got a true mild to wild range in one gun there.
