Airforce CO2 adapter max pressure with hpa
I have been running a 48/3000 paintball tank regulated to 2000 psi output with the airforce co2 adapter, is this pressure too much, and will the co2 adapter break in the long run or will it be fine. Thanks.

I just saw you only had 4500 psi tanks. I would then recommend jdsairman.com They have 4500 psi regs regulated from 1000 to 3000 psi. Again, choose how much power you want or how many shots. I would choose the 2000 because it is great power and a lot of shots.
I have a 48/3000 paintball tank as previously mentioned. I bought a a regulator from experthpa.com (great company by the way), I bought a reg off of this page here: http://experthpa.com/cart/cart.php?m=product_list&c=7 and I chose 2000 output pressure because I needed the most power I could get from a paintball tank but still powerful.
As far as the power I am getting from it. I get 950 with .22 JSB’s 18.1 on power wheel setting 1. Haven’t even tried a higher setting yet. But I get over 150 shots from 3000 psi to 2200 psi. Amazing for that kind of power. The ergonomics aren’t great with the large tank, but I live with it for that kind of shot count. The accuracy for me is one hole groups at 50 yards.
My main concern was just that I am not going to blow out the co2 adapter. I have a nearly new co2 adapter that you can have if you want. My email is heuchert.sam@hotmail.com Thanks.
the steel coupler is surely solid enough, and valve is just a hi flo with a weak spring. weakest link by far is the REPLACEABLE burst disc…
Sorry, I can’t answer your question, but I am also curious about using the Co2 adapter with regulated HPA (I’ve got 2 68/4500, a 48/4500 and an 88/4500).
How did you mod the reg, and what kind of velocities, accuracy, shots per fill etc. are you getting?

I totally forgot I have a 48/3000 aluminum HPA tank too. I never use it for PB and it’s been sitting on the shelf. It’s a little smaller in diameter than the CF 4500s, but weighs about a pound more than the stock AF tank, and over a pound more than my CF 50/4500. FWIW, the 4500s shouldn’t be a problem since I’ll always fill the one used on the TSS from a 3000 (or less) psi scuba tank.
Actually, I don’t want to mod the regs on my CF tanks in any case, as I still regularly use them for PB…… So I guess it’ll be the metal 48/3000….
