valve seats…
with all the buzz about the direct-flo valve and vented delrin lately, im curious if any of ya ever used a reshaped piece of delrin? what were results? i messed up cutting vents into a spare i had, and ended up turning it down to a taper point sitting partly in the valve spring. accident, sure, but im starting to wonder what it will do…
also, anyone aware of any disadvantages or benefits between the tapered or straight stock delrin pieces? i recall tagdagger commenting on a loss of power with the non-tapered seal(like the one in the co2 valve), im thinking that some aerodynamic study of seal shapes could be an important steps in perfecting this valve…any thoughts? 😕

THe cap on the right is the standard delrin cap AF uses on the hi-flo valve. The one on the left is tapered and will flat move some air. AirGunner is correct the vented or tapered will both improve air flow over the stock cap.
why not cut it down til only 1/8” is left for the seating rim an taper back
Tapering in either driection will have an advantage. TagDagger has used both tpaered toward the seat and vented toward the spring ID and they are about equal. Tapering and venting is the next one TagDagger is going to try. I presently have a vented Delrin and it moves air.
