EdGun Question

First of all, like to say hello to everyone as I’m new to THIS forum and this is my first post here. I wanted to ask what the deal is with the barrel to breech orientation on my my Standard Matador in .22? Is there a chance of the barrel shifting thereby resulting in the breech not lining up with the barrel? Why would the barrel not be recessed INTO the breech. I’ve had mine for 5 months now and can’t say enough about this weapon. Looking for a Veles now.

Thanks

EdGun

I found out that if the barrel have more then two points of fixing the POI can be changed due to the changing pressure that is why I made such a thing. On R3 the barrel have only one fix point.

Yes I found it to be odd design as well when I got my Edgun. If you take it apart and then put it together you have to press the barrel against the breach to seal it and then align the front part of the breach with the barrel bore by playing with side screws. Amazingly it works very well.
But I have encountered a problem with this design when cold weather came upon me. In freezing weather I started to feel the puff of air into my face from the place where barrel meets the breach, so I changed o-ring in that place and it leaked again.
So I sent the breach and barrel to Rich In Mich and he resessed the barrel into the breach for me and made new groove in the breach end of the barrel for o-ring. Now I can install the barrel without worring about alignment of the barrel as it automatically does so when it goes into the breach and it never had any air leak after that in the cold air.
It took me a lot of determination to do this mod with my Edgun as I was horrified to even imagine it might get messed up. But Rich in Mich did a great job.
But if you live in warm climate it might not be a problem for you. Ted in Madison had the same problem but he fixed it by just changing the o-ring IIRC.

Yes it will, i dont have one but there is alot of post on the subject if you search for it, or some of the guys will probly get to this thread . and welcome. :tag:
