Steyr AUG Bullpup mod

Modified Steyr AUG stock to meet Crosman Marauder, the weight is about 1Kg lighter than the original wood stock, the overall length is 27cm shorter than the original.
It became very easy to carry for hunting. The safety location has been changed to the original safety of Steyr AUG stock.
The reason of this mod is that one thing is hard to ignore, which is physical shape of Marauder, too fat. It does not look like smart nor stylish shape.
Most PCPs has double-decker tubing shape; in addition to lower profile trigger casing. However, unlike other PCPs, Marauder’s trigger casing is highest profile trigger casing, added outside of air tank tubing. So the deep fat shape designed Marauder is hard to modify. Only the solution of mod stock will be to remove Trigger, or Bullpup stock.

I bought the Junked JG Styer AUG stock at local airsoft store, which is the same as Classic Army Steyr AUG.

It became very easy to carry for hunting by weight as well as length. The major changes is safety, decided to use original safety of Steyr AUG stock.

Installed with Mid to Large sized scope mount

Installed with Compact scope mount

My purchased Steyr AUG was stock only, so I made the top air tank (barrel ) support mount from Aluminum, with Tri-rail mount. (A friend of mine just started making this top support from hard wood. You may make from plastic also.) If you wish military spec polymer material, you can try the real Steyr AUG stock, it the conversion kit for M16.

Plastic-works is the major work, then internal trigger arm beside the top air tank support mount, scope mount (these are machine works, you may ask the specialist.)

1.Cut off top with 31mm width using razor saw; then, filing in order to fit Marauder air tank.

The thickness of plastic is about 3.5mm, need sharp razor saw as below:

2. Craft Mag cover and make holes on inner butt plate.
The mag cover must be locked by Mag release-lever. When open up pushing Mag lever, you can see pressure gauge of air tank and stock installation screw. The hole of inner butt plate must be support air tank.

The photo shows pressure gauge and installation screw with Aluminum plate supported by reinforced rails.
3. Extend bullpup air inside Steyr AUG stock to move Marauder trigger. You need to make/attach the trigger catcher or arm linkage (see photo).

4. Mounting support of Marauder body.
The inside of stock has several rails, I reinforced those rails to stay the air tank, and placed 2 plastic blocks to support air tank.
5. Attached scope mount and cheek-rest (custom made). (I prefer shorter length cheek-rest to keep same position for every aiming easy.) Or several Yellow forum members offer Marauder Bullpup Scope Mount at reasonable price.
Note for stock inside works:
I used Weldon Primer Cements, to weld ABS pieces to reinforce stock body.
This is solvent welding, to melt surface to be gel condition, after vaporized solvent both ABS plastics become one sold piece. For curved/angled area, you may use ABS plastic piece with powdered ABS plastic hold 30sec to 1min by fingers.
Surprisingly, the airsoft stock became very solid feeling stock.

This stock can be modified for the most PCP rifles.

Ok. my mistake.

My mind is racing way beyond the reach of my banking account by now..

Not touched barrel, and not affect accuracy.

Very slick.

Does the scope mount attach to the barrel, as it seems? Could/does this affect accuracy?
