Not much Talon P talk
Seems like a neat gun, I’m kind of interested in one. You hardcore Air Force guys must not think so?

I do not see anything wrong with the gun but I am trying to figure out why I need one? I have a prod, talon ss, marauder .25 rifle, condor and a daystate. not sure what I would need the air force pistol for?? What do I need to kill that I cannot kill with the others? target practice have better choices already so I need this why? My prod is hopped up a bit so it is in low 700fps with predators good enough for close pest control. Longer pest control Marauder .25 or condor. Target shooting try beating the daystate. NOt sure why I need it . lol
Still may buy it! 😳
i get 20 shots from 3000-2000psi at an average of 40fpe with jsb .25 i love it!
the primary difference is that the valve seal allows airflow straight through the top of the spring, and allows a smoother flow around the seal into the stem. when the P came out, there was a lot of talk about the valving, and the conclusion is that the same benefit can be derived from vented delrin seal, which can be had from tagdagger.
My personal take is that AF is simply trying to be clever and raise some capital off a large existing stock of Talon frames. Now if they’d only put some of that capital cash into R&D for some truly new and improved products……
Yeah but isn’t the valve different than any other one? I don’t really like the small tank either.
I like mine and the price is in range, and it does a fantastic Job on accuracy.
It depends on your own personal taste,, Easy to carry and easy to pump up. 😀
Don’t get me wrong guys, it’s not that I don’t like it. As with everything, personal preference is what’s important. I think the Talon p is a great platform, I just think it’s important to remember that it’s a Talon frame with a different tank.
You could put any barrel you want on it, some will just stick out further than others. The 12″ .22 AF barrel I have is capable of 3″ accuracy at 100 yards.
Enjoy guys.
I think WOK needs to make an extendable butplate for the Talon-P, maybe in the future when a lot of them gets on the market,.

I still think it has potential. I don’t need a ton of shots as I use my airgun(s) for pest control. Usually one and done and the biggest thing I’d have to drop is raccoon/possums. If the P is as accurate between 20-40 yards as the videos show/say then the only issue to resolve is noise for suburban use. I totally dig the idea of a carbine build.
I assume the option to fit a longer barrel exists if you want long range accuracy. I also assume that it won’t be long before someone here fits up a valve to a standard sized bottle.
Filling a bottle from a tank is easy enough. Once you’ve got your gun tuned in you’ll know just how much to keep in it and how many shots you’ll get from it per bottle.
There’s not much interest because it’s simply a Talon with a short tank and a standard 12″ .25 cal barrel. The only new thing is the smaller tank which gives fewer shots than the existing ones. Not much to talk about…….

Honestly you don’t need it. It’s value is in cheap and light .25 cal. I don’t think there is an appreciative difference between the hi flow and direct flow. I love mine but I didn’t have .25 before. I also totally dig the short length but you can get that with a Talondor. So unless you’re after rounding out your collection just to say you’ve got one of each… wait for the next big leap in airguns to come along. My $.02.
