I was working deep undercover in 1976 in Cave Jct Oregon for the Oregons State Police.

I went to Grand Jury and eventually arrested a guy that I had never been able to make a meth sales case on, for Felon in possession once the investigation was over, by the name of Gregory Demello.

He kept a nickled 45 auto with a nice set of custom walnut grips in a shoulder holster by the front door. He also had a Harley parked in his livingroom, that always impressed me for some reason.

After I filed all my reports and they were in the system, I was notified by the FBI that Demello was dealing with the Harris’, who were Patricia Hearsts handlers, to provide dynamite to them.

I often wondered what I would have done, if Patricia Hearst and the Harris had visited Demello while I was there.

The way life turned out for her, in retrospect I am glad she didn’t.

She still visits the family ranch on Hearst Castle property.
