believe you me…id buy a mrod in a heartbeat if i had the cash…then kick myself in the ass for still needing to use a pump! 😆
Moneyshot – I don’t know about you but me and air rifles are kinda like the fat kid waiting for the ice cream truck; I’ve gotta have ’em all! 😆
well, since dave put it that way….
buy an AF rifle and instead of also getting an mrod, buy yourself some well advised upgrades or some filling equipment. for the cost of an mrod, you can make yourself a KILLER little AF rifle, and even with all the bells and whistles, itll still be lighter than an mrod, too… 😉
Got ’em both. (and a .25 Condor as well) As marianobanus stated, an Mrod can be steller or a dud. My Mrod is a laser. Shoots 10 shot sub-dime groups at 40 yards. Accuracy has never wavered. I can pick it up right now, aim at a starling 65 yards out and it’s dead before it hits the ground. My .22 Condor (12″ barrel installed now) though groups very well almost always has to have the scope readjusted.
M rod – very quite – easy 65 yard kills limited to about 25 good shots.
Condor – quite – kills out to 85 yards and beyond – easy…. over 35 shots with 24″ stock barrel – 4 calibers and 3 barrel lengths and a bazillion “hop ups” Love tinkerin’ with these guns!
Bottom Line – do what I did……get ’em both!
The Mrod is a big heavy gun, with scope its well over 10lbs.

Some .22 mrods are great, others suck, this is a known issue.
Get one in .177 or .25 cal, I would point to the .25. I have heard they are
Green Mountain barrels, but I could be wrong.
If you just want a 30-40fp point and shoot gun..then consider the AA S410 or S510 over the Mrod, or even the AF guns, but you wil be happy with any of them.
If you are a tinkerer and want a gun that can shoot at 20fp today, and at 80fp’s next week, then the Af platform is for you.
Once again I will sing the praises of the .25 cal.
I own a condor 22 and a TSS 177. I briefly owned a marauder in 22 but the accuracy sucked and the barel didn’t feel secure in its floating configuration. I would buy another air force gun any day over crosman. Be sure to mount a laser on the front accessory rail for more accurate close range shots.

Airforce is better if you look for a hunting tool. No mainteinance and good accuracy. Lothar walher barrels are one of the world top 3 brand.
Marauder can be a 10 point quality rifle or a 3. At least wath crosman send to S America show a lack of quality control.
Great design, beautifull stock, nice trigger but quality is not a standar.
As far as accuracy and power?
I would imagine the answer is in the eye of the owner. And better in what respect?
