Q:

WHAT HAPPENED?

About a month ago I stumbled on to a forum that talked about Airforce airguns (Talonairgun.com). I think it was some sort of brain washing / mind controling web site as I kept finding myself back on it over and over again. Eventually it made me order a .22 condor, 6-24×50 bushnell scope, scope rings, TT shroud, lowered tank adapter, five different types of pellets and an Air Hog carbon tank w/ hose. I havent even got the gun yet & I already have a plan laid out to fix the trigger & do some polishing on the valve & I dont even know if it needs fixed yet. To top it all off I almost bought a 9mm condor today. (good thing my wife slapped me & brought me out of it). I dont normally post much but I read a lot & there is much to be learned from this forum. THANKS to all the members for making all this info. so readily available as it answers many questions and makes things much easier for a newby like myself. I am sure I will have many questions when I actually have a gun and start assembly & tuning. THANKS again for a wonderful wealth of knowledge on this site.

Congrats and welcome!!!!!

Hey bro, I feel your pain. You are developing an addiction, and heading down a dark road from which there is no return. But there is still hope! All you need to do is stop NOW, before this goes too far. Just send me your Condor and all those other habit-forming items, and I will do the suffering for you.

But seriously, welcome and enjoy!

abandon hope all ye who enter here.

I already have an ATN aries crusader 6900 gen. 2+ night vision scope. I think I can get a rail to go from 11mm to weaver style mounts to put it on.

I like to think of it “like a fat kid waiting on the ice cream truck”
😆

I hunt big game with a bow. I do a lot of varmint hunting with a rifle. didnt have much time to hunt this year, most weekends shooting archery tournaments but I did manage 59 coyotes, 28 rock chucks & hundreds of ground squirlles. I have used an RWS 48 for quite a while mostly keeping the woodpeckers and starlings off the house & like it but it sounds like there is no comparison to the airforce. I am like a 12 year old kid waiting for all the parts to get here and I am actually 54.

He’s getting a carbon fiber tank; that’s a major step towards outright addiction. I think not only pellets, but possibly an air compressor might be in his future. 😉

So, MP how are you going to fill this cf tank? I hope your fill station is close by. It sounds to me like you are going to drain that tank the first day…maybe less if you run out of pellets first. 😀

I’m just kidding with you because we have all been there. It’s just too much fun. Your TT shroud is going to promote long shooting sessions and possibly many dead critters. Have you looked into night vision equipment? What do you think of the AirWolf MCT? The Edguns are extremely addictive to those find their ergonomics appealing; what’s another $2000? It just goes on and on and on. 😉

So Rev, what’s the Obama reference for? Did I miss something?

😆 😆 😆 😆

I give him about 11 minutes after he gets his rifle and he’ll be clicking “buy now” hop up parts and pellets by the UPS truck load, just like the rest of us.

My wife suggested I get in a 12 step program for my pellet addiction and I told her I needed more than 12 steps, my targets are farther away than that 😎

Resistance is futile!!! 😈

Welcome to the Airforce Collective. 😯

Randy aka going into my 7th year of owning a Condor and LOVING it! 😀

Only five different types of pellets? I hope you bought alot of them; you’re gonna need them. 😉

I’m teasing you…you probably bouth the right different types. This certainly does grow on you. Do you hunt, pest, challenge yourself on unforgiving paper? What’s your pleasure? You are going to like that Condor and the TT shroud is going to amaze you.
