Q:

Is my Talon defective?

Got the chrony out today and tested my .25 Talon.

Power wheel is set around “8”.

993 fps with a 25gr JSB gave me 50 fpe.

745 fps with a 62gr six ring gave me 76 fpe.

Does this sound about right? I know some people are getting more, but should I be happy and leave it alone?

I guess I could always use the 25gr on sparrows, and save the 62gr for the raccoon and possum.

Oh my, where to stop, where to stop and leave “well enough” alone……

I’ve got a ripping bad cold the past few days, and am depressed. Perhaps that is the reason for my malaise and discontent. Physically, I look and feel like a shit tag hanging down the butt crack of a feral hog.

Tonight, I shall pray to the gods of compressed air, and seek guidance. My personal physician, Dr. Jack Daniels-Black will also be here to help relieve my symptoms.

(cough…hack…snort….)

Sickly ‘Ol Uncle H 😯 😯 T

PS: Nothing wrong with me that a new Edgun wouldn’t clear up.

I’m a super noob so I might sound dumb but doesn’t a talon .25 shoot 950?

sounds good to me, but you are sick now, so put down the Jack, before you have a stroke.

“I look and feel like a shit tag hanging down the butt crack of a feral hog.”

Only Hoot can come up with such colorful descriptions. :thumb:

I hope you get to feeling better.

Hoot, go ahead and use those 62g pellets on them sparrows. With that much fpe, a close miss will still knock them dead. :5:

Hoot you crack me up. I can’t imagine there would be much left of a sparrow after 50 fpe ripped through it. I think you need to do some clinical work on that and let us know.

I do hope you’re feeling better. Dr. Jack should help you get your Vitamin C2H5OH (or is it CH3CH2OH?). I hate being sick- makes me a right proper a$$hat on accounta because I get so frustrated at the down time. Go take it out on the varmints in the yard, says I.

Happy New Year boss.

you’ll probably need to make a sound recording so we can listen, and make a better diagnosis. Can’t tell you without one.

Sam 😆
