Q:

New AF Spin-Loc tank

Hey everyone. I was just on the AF web site and found their new tanks. It’s called the Spin-Loc and appears to come with a Wok style buttstock attachment and a valve with gauge and quick-fill. Here’s a link.

Interesting. Apparently AF has been paying attention…. It’s about time.

It still does not address the for shit ergonomics of the Af design.

If there were no ETACS or angled adapters in the aftermarket world, there would be no AF products in my quiver.

I think they are researching the ins and outs of non-safe safety lawsuits.
😆

Hey Tom, got your suit on??? What the hell is up with this crappy safety you guys designed????

Best way to line up a etac is to alter the two screw that go into the collar by making them shorter and pointed. SHorter helps them clear the grip bushing, and pointed makes them grip the collar when tightened. you then put the bottle in with the collar on it, index it to where you want, and then tighten the collar retaining screws.

It will work with etacs and the angled bottle adpaters. That way you can adjusted it later down the road if you use a different etac or angled adapter and you do not need to drill two more holes in the collar, and it can be perfomed by anyone with a dirll motor.

AF would need to supply them with a flame retardant suit… 😆

hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Yup, looks like a foster fitting on top and a small gauge on the bottom. Hmmm. Tony’s new bit still looks way better.

Yep, and a pressure gauge too. 😉

It appears that it has a fill port/male foster fitting. Am I seeing that right?

It would be cool of them to provide an emissary on these boards.

Unless there are other AF specific forums around that I haven’t heard of, it would only make sense for them to send someone here to share kudos and perhaps coupon codes and such.

Otherwise, what’s this spin-loc business about?

Some way to spin the tank collar in the frame until things line up, then lock it in? (If so thats great (for everyone else) I managed to dent mine when I got my etac and spun the collar, then fastened it without drilling new holes in it).

What or where is the part that attaches to the rifle for the ‘spin lock’ thing?

Nice to see they finally ditched that plastic disc that always cracks…

They have some good deals on just frames from their custom shop area. 😯
